Sitework included relocation and installation of new upgraded electrical and water service. The interior build-out included simulation gaming rooms for training new Casino employees, classrooms, offices, interview rooms, and a computer lab for hotel operations. Work encompassed selective interior demolition and renovation including provision of new HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems new windows throughout upgraded bathrooms and renovation/installation of new architectural finishes. The 24,000 sf, one-story former Thomas Addison Elementary School is also now home to the Prince George’s Community College Dealer School and accommodates Maryland Lottery and Gaming Commission offices.
This Gilford/Kinsley Construction Joint Venture project was the adaptive reuse of an abandoned elementary school for use as an employment and training center for the new MGM National Harbor Casino.
